Exec Club Advisory Board Sessions

The (Proposed) Program

As with any proposal, it’s just that; a proposal. We’ll co-design alongside you all, but with the input and guidance from our conversation in Chicago we took a run at a first draft. You can read more below or you can watch us talk through our thoughts for how we’d spend time with your Board of Advisors and few special guests from the Envoy team.

Program Format

Discursive, Practical, Flexible

These sessions are designed to range anywhere from one to three hours depending on our time allotted with the group. We’ll present content and encourage discussion and debate throughout, with real-world examples interwoven from industries across the globe.

Respectfully informal and intentionally flexible, we’ll present theory alongside practical examples, introduce various guests from industry, and talk through applicability of concepts to board operations and/or the respective roles of participants.

Session 2. Thriving: The Six Types of Executive Fatigue and How to Resolve Them

Dr. Alan Dow and Candace Nicolls talk executive fatigue - what’s burning us out, how to define it, and how to address it. Mental, emotional, social, inactivity, and physical fatigue all have different attributes and ways to reduce them to keep at top performance. All of which lead to addressing the biggest challenge of them all: purpose fatigue - every executives reason for being. Practical, interactive, and geared specifically for leaders with a growing list of stressors on behalf of their families and organizations, this is a discussion to help the very people we want making decisions from a place of energy and groundedness rather than fatigue.

Session 1. New World, New Rules, New Playbook

Scott Wayne and Ace Callwood guide executives through this unique moment in time to understand how Generative AI, Political Populism, and News Algorithms are combining to generate conflict from board rooms to production line bays. Together, the group addresses best practices to ameliorate tensions in the workplace and keep organizations focused on the common goals of profitability, growth, and impact.

Session 3. Where AI and Cybersecurity Intersect: The Boardroom Briefing

An international conversation around the questions executives and board members should be asking of their organizations. James Villabrubia, AI Lead for NASA’s futurist team, and Danny Lopez, former UK diplomat and cybersecurity CEO, join a workshop facilitated by Jamie Jones Miller and Ace Callwood on how AI is currently being deployed, it’s assets and risks and where it overlays with emerging geopolitical cybersecurity threats for corporations and nonprofits alike. We walk away with the critical questions leaders should be asking around the application of AI and cybersecurity in a world that’s increasingly uncertain.
